The content that I publish on Blogger is the result of a thorough study on the Word of God in relation to Property, Wealth, Money, Me and You. It all is a taboo, to the extent that we could not get the reason of things for us to evaluate our ways.

The role of the Lord

"I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withheld from thee."
Job 42:2

The part of God relative the way to deal with the money is established on the foundation of contentment. In Scriptures, God calls itself with various names but the one that best describes him is Lord. It is important to understand how we see the Lord, because it determines how we live in the area of finance. Job, for example, is a witness who knew the Lord and Your landlord over his possessions. In a similar way, Moses and Elisha, to leave their wealth for a purpose. Many were those who accepted his role as Lord in their lives. The role of the Lord in our financial life is highlighted by three key-words: Domain, Control and Provision.

DOMAIN

"A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein."
PSalms 24:1

In the book Leviticus 25:23, the Lord is identified as the owner of all the earth. In Haggai 2:8 we have "The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts", as in PSalms 50:10 "For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills".

At that moment, the Lord holds everything together by His power. In principle, when we acknowledge His landlord, every decision related to purchases and donations becomes a spiritual decision. To illustrate the depth of this position can find the position of Abraham to heed the voice of the Lord in Genesis 22:2 "And he said, Take now thy son, thy only son Isaac, Whom thou lovest, and go into the land of Moriah ; and offer him there for a burnt-offering upon one of the mountains Which I will name to thee".

It's not easy giving up our arm strength or self-sufficiency, as if we were alone in our endeavors, and this is not a unique event and forever because every time we need to be reminded of who is Lord over our possessions.

CONTROL

"Whatever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places"
PSalms 135:6

Another responsibility that the Lord holds for you is Full Control over all events that occur on earth, in heaven and in us (I Chronicles 29:11-12).

While noble gases in the atmosphere remain firm in the equation right for supporting life without them dissipate into space, orchestrated movements occur in your body, reacting to the breath of life He filled you. His actions and decisions are under your control, and very interested in him, like King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4:34-35 says "And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me , and I blessed the most High, and I Praised and honored him That liveth for ever, Whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom is from generation to generation: And all the Inhabitants of the earth are reputed to nothing: and he doeth According to his Will in the army of heaven, and Among the Inhabitants of the earth: and none Can Stay his hand, or say to him, What doest thou?".

It is important that we realize that the Father conducts even the circumstances that seem overwhelming, but in the direction of a greater good in the lives of "their". "And we know That All Things work together for good, to Them That Love God, to who are the called Them According to his purpose" Romans 8:28.

It is worth reiterating that, after the tree of knowledge was "eaten", the Lord left to underestimate the man and his decisions in front of his ability, and not maturity, to make decisions.

But why the Lord allows occurs tough situations? I appreciate three reasons:
  • Perform His purposes: This is illustrated in the life of Joseph, sold into slavery by his brothers and, years later, becoming a great authority in Egypt, saving his entire family of scarcity (Genesis 45:5,8).
  • Develop your character: This is something precious to the Lord. Lessons are learned about trust in the Lord during the difficult times, when we come closer to Him because we are more receptive to your voice and instruction.
  • Discipline: When administering discipline, the Lord encourages us to abandon the precepts doubtful and to follow to His principles, increasing our faith and strengthen our character.
If it is possible list a word to summarize the results of this aspect of the Lord in our lives, that word would be MATURITY. The Lord wait the awakening of his maturity, to bless our relationships with prosperity.

PROVISION

"But my God will supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19

"Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him"
Proverbs 8:30

I am convinced that the Lord will provide - at the exact moment - the resources needed to realize the purpose and the calling that He has for each of us.

In Genesis 22:14, God is called "Yahweh Jireh" (The Lord will Provide). He cares for his people and does not need a prosperous economy for such provision. The Lord came down manna for the children of Israel for forty years, every day in the desert, as well as meat of partridges.

We fail to recognize the Lord when we do not understand who is the Lord. We tend to decrease it and place it in a way, with talent and human limitations. We must keep our vision awakens to not lose the perspective of the Lord.

LORD OF THE UNIVERSE

The distance between the end of a galaxy and the other is always measured in millions of light years. In Isaiah 40:26 we read,"Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names, by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth".

LORD OF NATIONS

Isaiah 40:21-24 says: "Have ye not known? Have ye not heard? ... It is he That sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and Its Inhabitants are the grasshoppers,... That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the earth The Judges of the vanity. Yes, They Shall Not Be planted, yes, They Shall Not Be sown: yes, Their stock Shall not take root in the earth: and He Shall Also blow upon Them, and They Shall wither, and the whirlwind Them Shall take away the stubble". And in Isaiah 40:15 we read: "Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted to the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing" The action of the landlord of the Lord can also be illustrated in I Kings 11:1-14.

LORD OF THE INDIVIDUAL

The Lord is not a "force", "energy", "cosmos", "nature" or any other classification, something distant, uncaring or unconcerned by our questions. ON THE CONTRARY!

He is involved so intimately with each of us as individuals. PSalms 139:3-4 reveals "Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art Acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But you, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether". God is one and Lord. He is the one who knows us deeply loves us and awaits our decision for Him.

"...and there is nothing too hard for thee"
Jeremiah 32:17b

The Lord has the power to meet His responsibilities and keep his promises. The fundamental truth is that the Lord has retained the responsibilities of property possession, control of events and the provision of necessities. As humans, we have not been projected to meet those responsibilities. But, the Lord has delegated some tasks important to us, for which it is necessary for its realization, a set of appropriate attitudes become necessary. I will tell more in coming posts.

What is the purpose?

"And God saw every thing that he had made, and behold,
it was very good"
Genesis 1:31a

Having lots of money may or may not be important to you, but learning how to handle it must be important. Everyone has their own opinion about it, and worry about money. The truth is that God does not want us to worry about money, but to be excellent managers.

God did not donate the land and the creatures to Adam, but two ordinances: Take Care and Cultivate.

By eliminating the obstacles to prosperity and teach how to do it, God established in Adam the attitude that which would result in abundance in the relationships along the things of this world, and principally about the people around you. You want more confirmation about this challenging attitude?

"And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."
Genesis 12:3

"And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he will bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee."
Exodus 23:25

"The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face to shine upon thee, and be gracious to thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them."
Numbers 6:24-26

"For the poor shall never cease from the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thy hand wide to thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land."
Deuteronomy 15:11

"When thou cuttest down thy harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thy hands."
Deuteronomy 24:19

"The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy store-houses, and in all that thou settest thy hand to: and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee."
Deuteronomy 28:8

Berachot or b'rakhot, which means Blessing,
was the First Decree of God on Man's Life.

Upon learning this, within his generation, some people conquered their objectives when they lived those words instead of their fears or beliefs.

"And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. "
Numbers 13:30

"Be strong and of a good courage: for to this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them."
Joshua 1:6

"And Deborah said to Barak, Arise, for this is the day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thy hand: hath not the LORD gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him."
Judges 4:14

"And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?"
Judges 6:14

"And Jonathan said to the young man that bore his armor, Come, and let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few."
I Samuel 14:6

"And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine."
I Samuel 17:32

"And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldst bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldst keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested."
I Chronicles 4:10

"And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD to you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's."
II Chronicles 20:15

"And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before."
Job 42:10

Some people do not know or do not believe, while others know but has not apply the financial principles of God in their lives. They are crucial, according to Howard Dayton, for three reasons:
  • The way we deal with money affects our fellowship with the Lord.
  • The possessions compete by the domain with the Lord of our life.
  • The dimensions of your money personality are in daily activity, determining their livelihoods.
People now question themselves and seek aid and advice about finances, over this, I can say that there are three alternatives of wisdom or Inspirations: Divine, Human and Malign. The difference can be exemplified through of what you consider when facing a significant decision or about the your motivation in a new development:
  • Malign: Do you consider your self-sufficiency.
  • Human: Do you consider your children.
  • Divine: Do you consider your children and grandchildren.
No children or grandchildren, and still considering them? This is a good example of faith.

Why did we go to extremes?

"And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bore him with sorrow."

What causes behaviors truly harmful to man? There are several reasons, and what is important to understand is that many of them are directly related to the messages we receive while growing up.

For example, Why do so many people buy compulsively? The act of consuming gives people a sense of identity that they had in childhood.

Buy is not bad. Just becomes a problem "buy" when you have no self-control and when the action is directed to the seek of self-esteem (compensation) rather than self-satisfaction (reward), for example, between buy a new equipment that you need not simply because it is faster than that of his friend is different from buying a computer to attend the demands of education or their service.Sometimes the cause is situational as a divorce or after the death of a loved one. His inability to deal with new situations that require rapid changes can lead you to spend, stop working and take actions that normally would not take.

Another cause is the addictive quality of money. Betaendorfina is a substance produced by the brain when the activity is pleasurable. If the activity is consistently enjoyable and his quest for the enjoyment is constant, the consequences can be very negative as a indebtedness or a conflict in marriage. On the opposite side is the pathological fear of never having enough. Normally such people, like the skinflint, hold onto things so as extreme. They feed an irrational fear of which maybe they will need an old object and anticipate a bitter repentance at the thought in disposing of it.

Consciousness is a good first step to moderate these bad habits. When you recognize what is holding, buying or working obsessively, you'll be in better position to deal with a harmful behavior. So I want to share with you five steps to a significant change.

PRAY
Invite the Holy Spirit to speak about his life. Ask the Lord strength and good cheer for you withstand the confrontation with the "truths" hidden in your heart. Ask the Lord to show the root of these extreme behaviors, the episode or the word that triggered these situations. Talk to Him about this behavior, invite Him to examine what was not asked by you, but it is in their attitude. Seek and confess to the Lord in repentance its lack in having Him around. Ask the Lord consummate the inner healing.

CONSCIENTIZATION
Read and reflect on the statements that you heard about money, wealth, goods and people rich / poor, while growing up in age. Enumerate also the way of being and habits of their parents and friends in relation to wealth and money. Reflect on the aspects that you consider equal or opposite to their parents or friends. Think also about the specific emotional episodes about money that you have lived.

UNDERSTANDING
Reflect about how these phrases come affecting your financial life until today. Do the same about the effect that these examples or episodes may have affected your financial life.

DISSOCIATION
Realize that these beliefs and values represent only their learning past, they are not part of his anatomy, namely, they constitute not you and do not talk about who you really are.

AUTHORITY WITH DECLARE
The things I hear are not necessarily true, and the examples I had about property, wealth, money, rich or poor does not belong to me. I renounce these experiences and create a new and prosperous future for me. I refuse them all and choose to receive new ways of thinking according to the Word of God. My way of doing things I am what I choose with the help of the Holy Spirit. Observe and make proof of my thoughts with the help of the Lord, and only retain what is good and those who strengthens me, in Jesus name!

Now with the renovation, seek the Lord (I will write more on this blog) the three basic messages about money that will guide their words and attitudes in everything that involves your relationship with money, property and property. Seek concordance with your spouse and with the Lord in principles for Acquisition, Use and Management. These new messages will be Statute's family, you can use consistently in dealing with financial matters. Your messages should convey the values in accordance with its purposes, rather than fear.

If you wish, here are some tips.

On Acquisition, set a financial objective is good, provided that we do not get obsessed or consumed by it, depriving the needs chosen by our family. In Use, you can buy both basic needs and luxury items, but not to impress others or to establish self-worth. Expenses above $ 500.00 require the approval of ___________ and ___________, and in case of divergences, in particular its resolution will occur among both. There is no money or accounts hidden, even if they are separated. While the Management, keep track of finances is a responsible attitude, but without execute it at the cost of forgetting their responsibilities with their family and friends and commitments with their purposes.

Why are certain thoughts make much sense to us?

"If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And to thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him."
Genesis 4:7

In the 50´s, the psychoanalyst Erik Erikson has identified a sequence of eight stages of development from birth to old age. Five of these stages happen in infancy; complete them successful way contributes to the formation of healthy personalities.

The age range and the circumstances are relative, but the phases are significant, being the annotations of this study a reference to reflect about my financial history and his.

By means the work of Jon and Eileen Gallo, in the Gallo Consulting, them traced a series of parallel financial tasks for parents who sought to create a healthy relationship with money in their children or dependents.

Below, look a context that supplies a summary of financial tasks identified by the teams of the Gallo Consulting:

  • TRUST: Provide a context. Help her see the world as a safe and secure place.
  • AUTONOMY: Help the child distinguish between to like, to want and to need. Attention to demystify the advertisements.
  • INITIATIVE: Talk about money. Stimulate curiosity about the cost of things, salaries, donations, purchases, sales, even they do not understand anything, in order to perceive that your relationship with money is neutral, other words, not overestimate or underestimate.
  • INDUSTRY or CONSTRUCTIVENESS: Discuss work ethic, "pocket money" and charitable activities. Teach the basics of money management. Not bind "pocket money" with worthiness.
  • IDENTITY: Teach the child about bank accounts and credit cards. Avoid frequent demonstrations of extreme behavior that may transmit wrong ideas. Outlining the financial attitudes and actions that can prepare them to function as healthy adults and financially liable when they leave home.

It is possible that some efforts have been made in its history, helping him to mature about their relationship with money in healthy manner. On the other hand, parents that do not realize or ignored such tasks may have encouraged their children to adopt attitudes or negative actions and unusual behaviors such as:

  • Lying to the spouse about your spending.
  • Incapacity to manage money, excessively materialistic, compulsion to purchase, games, drugs or sex.
  • Discuss constantly about money, with much hostility.
  • Excessively dependent on the generosity of others, has never learned to appreciate a work of self-interest.
  • Compensation for their absence or fault with gifts.
  • View a fascination for the rich and celebrities.
  • Spend a lot of time creating rich-quick schemes that never offer income.
  • Use credit (loans) to have a lifestyle far beyond their possibilities (income).
  • Talk incessantly about being a step from poverty when this is not the case.
  • Make ALL payments in cash or refuse to have a credit card or get a loan when you are doing well financially.

One definition widely used and developed by Theodore Millon defines personality how "a pattern of traces deeply rooted and widely exhibited cognitive [how we think], affective [how we feel] and in a manner visibly behavior [we behave] that persist for extended periods of time".

Therefore, our financial personality is what we think about money, how we we feel and behave in relation money. Your financial history has much to say about your financial personality, then experiment tell it to yourself (try write placing himself in third person) to reflect on their motivations and their truths.

A fig does not fall far from the fig tree.

And Saul answered and said, Am not I a Benjaminite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Why then speakest thou so to me?
I Samuel 9:21

Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied."
I Samuel 17:45

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
James 1:14-15

Suppose a tree where there is much fruit. In life, our fruits are our results. Normally we look at them and not like what we see - we think that the fruits produced are few, small or that the taste leaves much to be desired. What we tend to do, then? Most of us devote even more attention to results, try to change them using the same common sense of our fathers. But where do they come?

It's what's below the "land" that creates what's above it. This means that if you want to change the fruits, their roots should be replaced. Therefore, it is useless we focus attention on the fruits are already mature when season after season, your results come out.

Money, Wealth, Goods, Some Disease, Health, Appearance and Weight are examples of results, a consequence of what we believe. We live under the Law of Sowing in many of our actions. For example, lack of money is an effect, result, or fruit. But where is the cause, what is its root?

Whatever may be its fruits - abundant or scarce, good or bad, positive or negative - remember that it is a reflection of your seed and your strength and result of their roots. The Sowing is always an option in our lives, but once the seed was sown, that is, since the word entered into our lives and this "truth" made perfect sense, the harvest will be mandatory.

Thus, the financial model of a person is a combination of his thoughts, which lead to feelings and in actions that lead to results. Actions of conditioned minds, usually feed actions moved by the flavor of perceptions, other words, motivated by what is pleasing to your eyes and your sensations.

All the phrases you've heard about money, examples, gestures and episodes are kept as part of the model that governs your financial life, for example. Its fruit supervene when, in a decision, we have to choose between reason and emotions deeply rooted, the emotions usually win.

Life experiences help people to improve various skills and abandon up many of bad habits, however, distortions of the judgment might not be among them. Therefore, it is improbable that biases basic judgment to correct itself over time why responsive learning requires accurate and immediate feedback, which is hardly available because (i) results are usually lengthy and not very easy to assign them to a particular action, (ii) variability of the environment degrades the trustworthiness of return, (iii) and frequently no information on what would have been the result if another decision had been taken, and (iv) many of the important decisions are unique and offer little opportunity for learning, so any claim that a given error will be eliminated by experience must be substantiated by the demonstration that the conditions for effective learning are met.

When people learn from one episode at a time, too often they focus on characteristics of superficial level and understand that the message applies only to the specific context of the decision. Rather, the process of abstracting lessons between two similar episodes creates widespread perceptions, so get rid of bad judgment is an extremely difficult process that must be closely monitored and guided by a framework for change (look it the books Psalms, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes), starting with the systemic vision and shared of the question to be decided or criticized.

At this point, it is important that you recognize the extent to which their old beliefs and values led him to think and act, leading you to a situation where you are now!

A key ingredient in promoting a strong league to keep alive these truths and firm in our hearts and minds so we can call the Trust. It is what leads us to keep the credit and deposit these truths to understand that it creates the conditions to search for new and significant experience, regardless of the results.

If you want to move to a more meaningful standard of living, you must be willing to confront some, if not all, their old ways of being and thinking.

So, believe me. Do not enough be in the right place at the right time. You have to be the right Person at the right Place at the right Time. Thus, their Character, their way of thinking and beliefs determine their victory.
